April felt like a pause before the year truly began. With exams approaching, our visits to the villages were shorter, but they still carried a quiet sense of purpose. Most of us spent the first few weekends checking in with teachers and students to see how they were managing revision schedules. The classrooms were quieter than usual, and even the children who usually ran around after lessons seemed focused, notebooks open and pencils sharpened.

We handed out a few sets of stationery and helped with English reading practice for a while before leaving. It wasn’t a long session, but it reminded us that even small gestures can make studying feel a little easier.

Later in the month, our team met online to plan the months ahead. We discussed how to restart reading sessions in June and how to improve attendance tracking. The ideas weren’t grand, but they showed how much everyone cared about keeping things steady.

April taught us that progress doesn’t always come from big events. Sometimes it’s about showing up, listening, and planning carefully for what’s next. As exams wrapped up, we left the month knowing that consistency, even in quiet weeks, keeps Samroha moving forward.
