Steady Steps Forward

September brought a steady routine. Schools were settled and our visits became regular. We focused on reading comprehension and basic sums, rotating between villages so each school got weekly support. The work was modest and planned.

One visit in Vikarabad stood out. A teacher told us that some students had improved in English after regular reading sessions. Hearing that was encouraging. In another session we helped a small group work through number problems and watched them use simple strategies they had learned earlier.

We also spent time checking the mid-day meal process. Meals were being served on time most days, though a few students left early to help at home. We followed up on those cases and planned a home visit for October to talk with the families.

September felt like steady progress rather than big news. The children came to class, the teachers planned lessons, and our team showed up on schedule. That regular presence felt valuable. We finished the month with clear notes and a small list of students to support more closely in the next weeks.
