How We're Advancing the Rural Development of Underserved Communities

Ever since we visited the village of Kolumguda in Adilabad, we've been able to see how comunities have been stricken by poverty, natural disasters, disease, and more. It's been heartbreaking to see the conditions that they've been bearing with for the past few decades. They've been stuck in this place without adequate resources and food, making future generations vulnerable to the rural environment. These children haven't had anyone who was willing to help them in years. They've been struggling survive in these rural communities and have been in a dire need of assistance as they don't have access to food, clean-drinking water, proper education, or even financial assistance. As a result, our team thought it was vital to step in and help these children.

We've been working with them for the past 2 and 1/2 years, striving to promote the development of their communities. This has been done through medical assistance (height and weight checks) and nutritional support by providing nutritious food. We've also helped them get access to tangible items including clothing and footwear and are providing financial assistance. But, now, we're trying to come up with something more innovative to help them. We plan to host educational workshops with them to teach them skills including problem-solving and critical thinking as well as English. Also, we'll incorporate blood tests to recieve more information about their nutrition and to see if we've been able to help these children. Moreover, we will host wellness camps to teach children about why it's important to eat healthy and how this helps their body. Other things we will do include helping with developing infrastructure in their area as they've had serious issues with fresh water storage and contamination. This is something we plan to accomplish over the next few months. Though our intiative may seem smaller on a first glance, it's these efforts we make which propel our organization forward. Many organizations have tried to provide what we've been doing for this community, but they weren't able to do it over a long period of time and consistently. Our organization strives to improve the livlihoods of these children greatly over the next year.

Our journey to improve the lives of these children has been pretty tough as it was initially difficult to contact them and let them understand that we were trying to help them. However, as we saw them more often, they learned that we were making an initiative to support them. This made them more welcoming towards us and led them to accept what we've been offering. To this day, the entire community supports our effort and they hope to see us advance in the future. The community has told us that our support has been beneficial and that they look forward to having it in the future. Our organization has been a crucial lifeline for the children living in these rural areas. Aiding these underserved communities makes us feel delighted as we've found out that we were able to benefit those who were in a dire need for assistance. We've been able to improve the livelihoods of the community we've been working with greatly. We hope to continue our effort to support these communities and look to expand to more along with other organizations in the future.
